Foodsharing is an initiative that campaigns against food waste throughout Germany. It "rescues" unwanted and overproduced food in private households as well as from small and large businesses. The local Foodsharing group in Bonn has already saved over 190,000 kilograms of edible food through more than 40 collaborations with supermarkets, restaurants and bakeries and the efforts of almost 500 volunteers.
