The Marktschwärmer initiative brings together producers from the region and consumers. Customers order and pay for regional food online and collect it from their Marktschwärmerei. In this way, it supports sustainable food production. The concept originated in France and has been spreading in Germany since 2014. In Bonn alone, there are three Marktschwärmereien in different parts of the city, and more are currently being set up.
