Sustainable all round.

Economy for the Common Good Regional Group Cologne/Bonn

The conviction of the Economy for the Common Good: The world can only solve the current challenges - from the scarcity of resources to the climate crisis, from the loss of biodiversity to the widening gap between rich and poor - holistically and systemically. The alternative to the current economic model: a sustainable economic culture based on human dignity, ecological responsibility, solidarity, social justice, democratic co-determination and transparency.

A points system for companies, municipalities and educational institutions will serve to classify and review the sustainability criteria. The better the commitment to the common good, the higher the score. The Economy for the Common Good demands that if companies or organizations have a better balance sheet, they should receive advantages - in terms of taxes, loans or public procurement subsidies.

The idea has spread to around 30 countries since 2010, with more than 250 regional groups, including in Bonn. The Cologne-Bonn regional group welcomes interest and new members.
