Bonn Aquaponics is a start-up that has set itself the goal of producing high-quality food close to the city. Aquaponics is a combination of the words aquaculture and hydroponics. It is a method of growing plants and fish simultaneously in a closed water cycle.

The aim of the start-up is to spread the use of aquaponics in society and to establish the production of aquaponics crops in Bonn. This includes, in particular, educational work and knowledge transfer in order to enter into a joint discussion about the current and future production of food.
