In the SieMensch housing project in Dransdorf, 20 people live together in a largely sustainable way. Living space is shared wherever possible. The large communal room and the communal kitchen serve as the focal point of the residents' lives. The project is car-free and cooks with vegetables from the SoLaWis farms in Bonn and Alfter. Thanks to a heat pump and modern insulation, the house is free of fossil fuels and energy-efficient. One of the residential floors and all communal areas are wheelchair-accessible thanks to an elevator.
