The nationwide association aims to preserve the health of the forest on the one hand and to promote forest-friendly use on the other. It wants to preserve the natural basis of life for humans, animals and plants and improve people's relationship with the forest, thereby increasing environmental awareness. The focus is particularly on children and young people.

To this end, the conservation association qualifies educators on the topic of forests, publishes educational and information materials for various target groups from Kita to teenage age and develops projects such as an interactive rally.
