From urban gardening and the "Open Garden Gate" campaign to citizen participation: The city of Bonn offers numerous green projects and invites Bonn residents to actively help shape and participate.

The lighthouse projects include the new perennial concept, the insect-friendly cemetery and various urban gardening projects, as well as the  House of Nature (opens in a new tab), the certified  urban forest (opens in a new tab) and the Mindfulness Trail.

The diverse range of activities, from environmental education and the protection of biodiversity to numerous local recreational opportunities for all citizens, is an important building block for a city worth living in.

The " Municipalities for Biodiversity (opens in a new tab)" alliance has certified this commitment with the  "StadtGrün naturnah" label (opens in a new tab) in silver, which has only been awarded to a few large cities to date.
