Consuming differently together - this is the motto under which the non-profit entrepreneurial society aims to extend the life cycle of clothing and things and show how this can work in practice. The igloo is an educational venue and store in one: sustainable second-hand fashion is available to buy, used clothing can be swapped and upcycling is on the agenda in workshops. Food is also saved from the garbage can here and can be taken away for a donation. The central jeans recycling project focuses on climate protection - because every pair of jeans that can no longer be used is recycled, saving resources such as water and cotton and thus reducing CO2 emissions. Blue garbage cans are available in many cities across Germany, including Bonn, in which discarded jeans with a cotton content of at least 95 percent are collected for recycling.
