The Botanical Gardens of the University of Bonn see themselves as a showcase for their university. Over 150,000 people visit them every year. The Circle of Friends aims to involve people in the goals and tasks of the Botanic Gardens - through financial support, but also through tangible action.

More than 1,300 members of the Friends actively support the gardens with a varied program of events and in the organization and administration. In particular, the active members want to give children of different age groups access to the fascinating world of plants with a so-called Green Learning Workshop. Guided tours allow direct contact with the plants of this world.
