A Freebox is a public cupboard that works on the principle of open bookcases. You can bring things here that you no longer need yourself, but that are too good to throw away. After all, someone else may be looking for this very item - saving on new purchases benefits both people and the environment, as anything that does not have to be produced again saves resources and reduces CO2 emissions. The box was created by Sophie Schraml's project company envision21. It has been located at Friesdorfer Straße 39 in Bad Godesberg since April 2021 and is maintained by the "WIR unter der Godesburg" association.
Anyone who wants to can commission their own Freebox to make a contribution to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and create a socio-culturally vibrant place for conscious consumption and a circular economy in the respective district.
