The Bonn-based organization was founded in 1967 and is a large civil society initiative committed to the sustainable development of poor people in India and Bangladesh. Under the guiding principle of "helping people to help themselves", Andheri Hilfe supports around 80 development projects and programs in the two countries, reaching around one million people. The goal: to enable disadvantaged people to live in dignity. The way: strengthening people's rights, promoting education, enabling healthcare, supporting independence and protecting the environment and climate.
